Purpose Of Role
This position is calling for a qualified (local) Indonesian professional to be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing commercial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives to support and accelerate growth of Santen Indonesia business. Additionally, the position will be responsible for Indonesia’s financial performance by achieving annual sales targets, progressive market share development and profitable pricing management of the assigned product line, consistent with company compliance policy, through effective KOLs management.
The Role Will
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain beneficial relationships with clients and business partners in the country
  • Understand the ophthalmology industry by keeping updated on trends and market conditions, which will help in providing strategic advice to senior management
  • Manage distributors (Ferron and Meiji) for all sales and marketing activities to ensure Santen products availability and market growth
  • Identify new commercial opportunities and manage marketing activities.

Business Development
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs for educational services and Product Manager to create product marketing/ launch plan and ensures its implementation by the sales team in Ferron and Meiji.
  • Translate corporate/ regional medico-marketing strategy into local policy by creating policies relating to strategy, pricing, and positioning of products.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to accelerate business growth. Conduct market research and analysis to understand market situations and develop effective plans to maximize business opportunities.
  • Establish and manage profitable partnerships with key stakeholders, including distributors.
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare performance reports.
  • Understand customer requirements by collaborating with institutions and KOLs to plan and execute medical workshop and symposiums, public screening for disease and patient awareness and work with KOLs for analysis of where the gaps are in ophthalmology and understand how Santen can support in these gaps.
Financial Performance
  • Execute monitoring systems to ensure margin optimization of the product portfolio.
  • Manage and track expenses, financial goals and budgets.
  • Develop a profitable operational strategic plan and budget (P&L) for the appointed product line by effectively managing ASP and marketing activity investments.
Collaboration With Cross-functional Teams
  • Achieve target inventory level with Supply Chain management through sales forecasting and coordinating with distributors on ordering schedules.
  • Ensure prompt reporting of adverse events, product complaints and suspected counterfeit Santen products within the prescribed timeline.
Qualifications
The position requires a medical-related university degree or graduate degree in business, science related, with at least 5 years of pertinent experience, with a sound understanding of the medical and health care industry as well as have maintained good relationships with doctors and medical professionals within the country. Ideally, the candidate should have minimally 3 years of experiences in Ophthalmology.
