Airswift is seeking applicants as a Finance Manager to join the team in Jakarta, Indonesia.


Role Description


The primary role of the Finance Manager - Indonesia is to oversee the accounting operations and financial management, including but not limited to management accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, assist in budget and forecast preparation, as well as ensuring that internal controls and policies are adhered to.


Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play an integral part to manage and coordinate the accounting activities for the Indonesia entity ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and collaborate with key business partners including the KL Shared Services to ensure financial integrity. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining the organization's financial health, complying with regulations, and optimizing financial resources.

Primary Responsibilities


  • Financial Reporting
  • Any other ad-hoc request or requirements from the Finance Director.
  • Responsible for all tax compliance submissions (GST, Withholding Tax, etc.) by compiling and preparing the necessary working papers.
  • Work closely with KL Shared Services team to ensure accurate and prompt recording of the transactions in the accounting books.
  • Ensure financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner and in compliance with financial reporting standards and taxation laws.
  • Responsible for monthly closing of cashbook, sales and purchase ledgers including preparation of the financial reporting package (e.g., Aged Debtors / Creditors Reports).
  • Responsible for the preparation of the annual statutory accounts and other statutory reporting.
  • Proactive in ensuring completion and successful implementation of ad hoc projects, making recommendations as necessary to support business operations and expansion.
  • Statutory Compliance
  • Work closely with Regional Treasury AP team to forecast and to ensure sufficient cash to support the Indonesia business.
  • Responsible for analysis of sales, gross profit and overhead variances. Reconcile discrepancies arising between the systems and finance records, proactively resolve and seek a solution to identify and minimize the differences.
  • Work closely with the bank to ensure that we are up to date with any upcoming currency, FX, regulation changes.
  • Work closely with Regional Credit Control Manager to establish good cash collection process, this will include ensuring prompt and accurate submittal of invoices, oversight on credit control and engage issues head-on to facilitate collection.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, outsource service providers on statutory filings such as local audit, income and corporate tax filing, etc.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Review of monthly reports, bank reconciliation and other analysis reports (eg. balance sheet, margin report, etc.)
  • Cash Management
  • Ensure compliance of group’s financial and operating policies, including liaising with external auditors, country offices, tax agents and outsourced service providers for statutory compliance and reporting.
  • Monitor the financial performance and maintain full set accounts for the Company and its subsidiaries and related companies. Deliver monthly result in line with month end timetable.
  • Ensure sound Account Payable process is in place and maintain target DCO in line with cash requirements.
  • Manage the working capital of Indonesia business including the monitoring and management of the receivable bank facilities to meet the targeted DSO KPI.


Skills, Knowledge, And Experience


  • Excellent written and verbal communication. All candidates must be fluent in English.
  • 7+ years of Finance and Accounting experience with recent years in managerial role preferred and proven track record of career progression.
  • Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple requests effectively within competing deadlines.
  • Strong technical competency and understanding of relevant IFRS/SFRS.
  • Intermediate or Advance user of Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of working in a global environment.
  • Ensuring a high degree of quality and accuracy with transaction processing.
  • Recognized qualified accounting qualification (ACCA / CPA / Local qualification)
  • Knowledge of Accounting and Taxation for Indonesia.
  • Power BI, Dynamics D365, Hyperion Smartview / OneStream
