Job Description
Who You'll Work With


Technical specialist that orchestrates involvement of all technical activities and resources with distributors and partners, holding accountability for required tasks within assigned partner accounts, distributors and providing architectural perspective across the Cisco product portfolio, including software, services.


Technical specialist that can provide consultative approach in terms of Developing and monitoring Distributor's team sales, presales, post sales development that align with Cisco directions.


What You’ll Do :


  • Provides technical information and design/implementation guidance in concert with Cisco Architecture Seller team(s)
  • Maintain Distribution demo list and its utilisation.
  • Technical orchestrator for an array of Cisco resources, primary responsibility for ensuring successful completion of each pitstop from a technical perspective in the lifecycle selling motion with partners.
  • Work with DPAM/PAM to Plan, monitor and assist Distribution resources capabilities development. Educate partner on Cisco differentiation. Set brand preference to Cisco.
  • Capable of engaging with partner engineers to C-Suite, aligning technology to partner business drivers.
  • Baseline business architecture knowledge; map business challenges to technology
  • Provides sales and Architecture Partner Seller teams active feedback on competitive challenges
  • Managing Distribution Presales Communities.
  • Deliver enablement, training, POC, Demo, assistance for technical inquiries.
  • Collaborates with Distribution/Partner Account Manager on the account plan(s), jointly ensuring customer and partner success.
  • Drive Distributor adoption on Cross Architecture, EA, SW Capabilities. Technical sales professional serving as a Technology/Product/Solution consultant.
  • Engages with partners and customers through various social platforms and events
  • 25-50% of time building awareness of Cisco solutions—creating demand and increasing revenue
  • Provides active input and feedback on customer requirements through innovation tools together with partners/through partners.
  • Effectively leverages tools and resources to reduce / minimize repetitive tasks and workload. Regular market intelligence and distribution engineering capabilities


Preferred Skills (Technical/Softskills)


  • Competitive knowledge in supported products/solutions
  • Highly motivated self-starter that does not need day-to-day management
  • High-level Customer intimacy skills, responsible for technical customer and partner relationships
  • Commercial awareness and communication skills
  • Experience working with Re-Sellers, Partners and Distributors
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent highly preferred
  • Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology areas like R&S and Wireless required.
  • Minimum 7+ years of technical sales or pre-sales experience.
  • Good Understanding of networking
  • Baseline business architecture knowledge; map business challenges to technology
  • Proven track record or managing and winning technical and high value IT projects
  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Manages technical selling process, coordinating resources and tools
  • Successful quota achievement
