The Partner Relations Manager will provide leadership and develop a partner strategy with project leadership to the USAID Indonesia Higher Education STEM Partnership Initiative (HEPI). Implemented by Arizona State University, HEPI is a five-year cooperative agreement to improve STEM teaching innovation and industry linked curricula, advance international recognition and quality through accreditation, and develop academic pathway programs for student and faculty mobility between Indonesian Higher Education Institution (HEIs) and US HEIs in STEM. Job Summary:
The Partner Relations Manager is responsible for creating and expanding strong relationships between HEPI industry and US STEM Higher Education Institution (HEIs)/Indonesian HEIs developing long-term sustainable partnerships to increase Indonesian faculty and student studies and engagement with US HEIs. This position works with industry-government-academic partners in both the U.S. and Indonesia to achieve the objectives and KPIs of the project to ensure optimal performance of the relationship and to identify partnership opportunities for HEI improvement and enhancement, in the ultimate interest of student success. This position is located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
What to expect in this role:
●Implements, develops, and manages: Functionally leads the implementation of new relationships/partnerships. Develops common partnership goals, sets clear expectations, and creates long-term relations. Develops and utilizes reports and other detection tools to constantly monitor and ensure the health of the relationships, as defined by the relevant contract/agreement, and the expectations of the partnership to ensure at least baseline performance and flawless student experience. Builds strong human relationships with peers at the external parties.
●Improvement: Identifies opportunities for greater performance to baseline, whether procedural, adaptive, technical, or otherwise. Identifies opportunities for growth and expansion of the relationship. Make thoughtful recommendations for such, through the appropriate channels and, as directed, implement these.
●Market scanning: Scans market for new potential partner, vendor, and other relationship opportunities. Conducts research into viability and makes recommendations, as appropriate, for those to pursue and to not pursue.
●Industry Initiatives:Works and coordinates with industry partners, academic partners and HEPI team to ensure the long-term viability of new initiatives, including projects focusing in Project/Problem-Based Learning, Applied Learning, Industry-Based Curriculum, Maker Innovation Spaces, Global EPICS, and more.
Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; graduate degree preferred.
● At least 4 years of related experience.

● Comfort working in an international environment and all of the ambiguity and improvisation involved in the global working environment.
● The ability to identify, evaluate and act on competing priorities both under supervision and while acting on one’s own initiative.
