Workplace Relations Manager Jobs

Job Purpose:

Workplace Relations Manager plays a crucial role in promoting positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and creating a harmonious and productive work environment within the organization. Including handling employee grievances, managing conflicts, developing and implementing workplace policies and procedures, fostering effective communication, and providing guidance on employment matters.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of labor laws, and the ability to navigate complex employee relations issues with fairness and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a cordial relationship with employees, union representatives, relevant government bodies, and other supervisors in order to establish harmonious workplace environment
• Provide guidelines of managing industrial relations; Administration of the Labour Law, the Collective Labour Agreement, the Internal Regulations Agreement, all extra-contractual agreement, and any other provision that maybe applicable; Researches labour/employees relation problem to find the most adequate solutions and negotiates with union; Ensuring all P&C document and policy comply to manpower regulation.
• Develop and maintain Workplace Relations procedure, policies, and guidelines in order to ensure all P&C policy and initiatives comply with manpower regulation, CLA, company values.
• Build effective relationships with employee representatives or labor unions and negotiate collective agreements or participate in labor-management discussions.
• Assess and manage risks related to employee relations, implementing measures to mitigate potential legal disputes.
• Handle employee grievances, mediate conflicts, and address concerns related to workplace practices and policies.
• Support P&C teams and managers with guidance on employee relations matters.
• Stay updated with labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide guidance to management and employees.
• Manage employee relations strategies, including relationships with employee representatives or labor unions.
• Collaborate with legal counsel and P&C teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Develop strategies to prevent labor issues/disputes and its recurrence in order to maintain a productive and harmonious working environment
• Prepare, monitor and control annual department budget to ensure its expenditure is in line with the Business Plan
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement diversity and inclusion initiatives and foster a culture of respect and equality in the workplace.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree majoring in Law
• 10 years' of Industrial Relations area or HR Generalist area, having exposures to complex IR experience;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
