The Purpose of Your Role
The Business Development Director is accountable for delivery of the client acquisition plan, the revenue growth targets and people management in his team. The Business Development Director is the face of the company who will actively nurture a high level of engagement with key clients and business partners to maximize the commercial potential available. You are persuasive and have strong business acumen, adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrating excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. This role requires proven expertise and experience in digital marketing. You are central to bringing the Hello Health Group Vision and Mission to life, acting as a role model for the company values to inspire the highest level of commitment to the company’s vision, mission, purpose, and commercial ambitions, in alignment with Hello Health Group strategy.
Your Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- You lead your team to work in close alignment with the Country Manager, Regional VPs and functional leads to plan partnerships and business opportunities monthly, quarterly, and annually.
- You identify, help develop and implement new business opportunities – products or services – in line with the overall Hello Health strategy.
- You proactively drive revenue growth, profitability and identify opportunities for cross-selling within each client.
- You demonstrate a detailed understanding of HHG’s service offering, leading pitches to clients and directly and through your teams identify commercial growth opportunities.
- You will drive business development, securing Regional Key Clients within your market and establishing Local Key Client partnerships ranging from pharmaceuticals, consumer health, medical devices, private hospitals, and media agencies.
Your KPIs include:
- Annual, quarterly and monthly revenue targets
- New business pipeline
Commercial - Client and Partner Management
- You receive the PO from the client; create and agree on invoicing schedules; and make sure the invoices get issued and collected in time.
- You work closely with management and VPs to develop strategic thinking for comprehensive account planning and to identify new account opportunities.
- You stay in-tune with new digital trends, industry innovation, competitor activities, market norms and client needs.
- You and your team demonstrate confidence and competence with commercial digital concepts in order to identify digital solutions that support client brand strategies and thus facilitate end-to-end service adoption.
- You work together with VPs, PMs and internal delivery teams to track client projects P&L via revenue and cost tracking and report this back to the finance team.
- You identify and develop appropriate industry- and medical partnerships in order to facilitate the execution of the strategy locally.
- You build and maintain excellent client operations and client relationships – including senior stakeholders.
- You work closely with your client service and delivery team to ensure they deliver client campaigns in line with agreed targets, they deliver the best possible digital solutions and exceptional client service.

- Client / Campaign Gross Margin
- Invoice collection
- Client Project Renewal
- Client satisfaction (as per client feedback)
People and Performance Management
- You ensure the Hello Health Group Core Values, our Purpose and Mission are exemplified in your own behavior and brought to life by your team.
- You actively identify and address the development needs of your team, utilize the learning opportunities available to them on a country or regional level, ensuring your team maximizes their own learning by making use of HHG’s offerings such as the HHG Academy.
- You ensure that your team members have updated s, MBOs and are fully aware of the expectations of their role and responsibilities.
- You fully commit to and implement Performance Management in line with company policy, engaging and leading individuals and the team effectively to meet company goals.
- You hold regular performance 1 on 1 reviews with direct reports to ensure high levels of staff engagement and delivery on KPIs.

- Staff engagement (as per Employee Survey)
- Full implementation of Performance Management

- Deep understanding of the core principles and KPIs related to Digital Marketing & Sales, including relevant experience strategizing, implementing and optimizing digital marketing & sales activities (including SEO, SEM, Social Media and CRM, sales, GM1, Contribution Margin, EBIT).
- A passionate, humanistic & purposeful leader, able to design short & long term appealing visions, and building and leading a motivated team of individuals to achieve set goals. A resilient author, passionate about getting direct report people out of their comfort zone to grow them to new capabilities and responsibilities, and who intent to make a difference and contribute to establish better healthcare solutions.
- Aligned with Hello Health company values, vision and purpose: a person willing to contribute strongly to establishing and orchestrating an ecosystem of digital solutions to empower people to manage their health in a cost-effective and highly convenient way whilst improving quality of care.
- An entrepreneurial leader with at least 10 years managerial experience, including 5 years of experience in driving an organization P&L. Preferred profile with dual experience in commercial operations Digital Agencies.
- A Data-driven Management style & strong execution follow-through capabilities, with good project management skills and proven ability to structuring & scale-up operations & teams effectively.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years experience leading an Digital Agency business. Proven track record of launching, scaling up and growing a profitable business (experience preferred; Consumer Healthcare, Pharma and Medical).
