About The Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Partnerships and Business Development Manager to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible to assist & work in tandem with the Head of Strategy & Partnerships, as well as the Chairperson to implement developed strategies designed to grow partnerships, business development, and overall growth for our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of maintaining and building strong partnerships - including but not limited to the purpose of business development and fundraising. Experience within the non-profit sector is an advantage but not a must.


As the Manager of Partnerships & Business Development, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of YABB. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategy and Partnerships, and working closely with the Chairperson, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for driving creative partnerships and developing strategies to help the organization achieve its goals.


Your main responsibilities will include supporting the development and fostering of relationships with partners across various sectors, collaborating to design the overall fundraising & monetization strategy, as well as assisting with the identification of possible new income streams and grants to help YABB expand its impact and sustainability. You will also be responsible for working in tandem with the Head of Strategy & Partnerships to build and manage the pipeline of current and potential partners and donors.


This will include assisting to monitor leads, reaching out to prospects, supporting the crafting of tailored proposals in collaboration with key functions within YABB. Your ultimate goal will be to prioritize, schedule, and deliver impact by driving collaboration between all parties involved.

What Will You Do


  • Work together with the Head of Strategy & Partnerships
  • Assist to develop and implement strategies to identify and cultivate new partnerships and funding opportunities
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure alignment and integration of partnership and business development efforts with other organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Assist to develop and implement a comprehensive business development plan to support the growth of the Foundation
  • Represent the Foundation at conferences, events, and other networking opportunities to raise awareness and build relationships
  • Support to identify new revenue streams and partnerships to drive growth including but not limited to grants and creative fundraising
  • Support to create and manage a pipeline of prospective partners, sponsors, and donors, and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities within the non-profit sector
  • Collaborate with other team members to develop and execute marketing and communication strategies that support partnership and business development efforts


What You Will Need


  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in partnership development, business development, grant pitching, investment and fundraising
  • Experience developing and executing comprehensive business development plans
  • Entrepreneurial experience a plus
  • Strong analytical and research skills to identify opportunities and trends in the non-profit sector
  • Passion for and commitment to the Foundation's mission and values.
  • Proven track record of successfully cultivating and managing partnerships and sponsorships
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
