Trade Operations & Service - Operations Lead

Position Overview

Job Summary

The individual appointed will be responsible for managing and supporting the smoothness of day to day operations of Trade Operations & Services for Deutsche Bank Jakarta

Responsibilities:

• Carries out division administrative matters.
• Reviews and makes decisions on non-routine matters relating to L/Cs, Guarantees, and significant discrepancies which cannot be handled by subordinate officers.
• Staff management including coaching, training and developing carrier path.
• Coordinating the trade ops team in managing all Trade Finance activities.
• Ensure control & compliance procedures are followed and necessary documentations in place.
• With coordination with Regional team manages and assists for implementation of changes in law, uniform customs and practices, central bank regulations, and branch policies affecting import/export transactions, all guarantees issuances, including import tax payment processing.
• Manage product delivery quality, ensuring consistency, and constant improvement to service levels
• Working closely with Regional Product Managements, Sales, IT and Operations for Trade product developments and implementations.

Requirements:

• Self-confident and performance driven
• Strong Trade Finance knowledge in Trade Operations & Services experience.
• Business minded individual who is a self-motivator, energetic and innovative
• Strong appreciation of operations & services processes and procedures, and preferably understanding of accounting
• Mature and well developed leadership qualities
• Good knowledge of the Trade Finance International practices, local regulations and internal policies
• Ability to make decisions, influence others and work in co-operative manner and find resolution to product & services need
• Good knowledge of all Trade Finance Products, including all kind of LC’s issuances, all kind of Guarantees, including Import Tax Payment processing.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
