A very exciting Senior Business Development Executive (Law firm) job has become available at one of the leading multinational law firms in Indonesia.


About The Senior Business Development Executive (Law Firm) Role


The Senior Business Development Executive (Law firm) provides high quality and effective support for the region, in particular for the Projects and Energy Transition Practice with partners physically based in Singapore, Seoul, Tokyo and Jakarta, to execute business development and marketing initiatives in accordance to the firm, regional and practice group strategy, as well as working with partners to respond to client requests mainly through pitches, proposals and capability statements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop excellent working relationships across the relevant partner(s) team, BD&M teams and other support functions
  • Undertake external and internal research, business analysis and competitor intelligence to support client facing meetings, pursuits and proposals
  • Respond to requests from colleagues in other jurisdictions for BD support
  • Contribute to central BD&M team initiatives, including supporting new systems and processes, and support the global team on projects, as required
  • Develop a good knowledge and understanding of the legal industry and marketplace, and the firm's key service offerings and product areas
  • Support across the entire credential collection process and ensure practice group and Asia requirements for data capture are met
  • Prepare and maintain marketing materials, including web/intranet content, client publications, sales material and capability statements
  • Assist with any other ad hoc requests as required
  • Ensure client reporting, terms and panel and pricing agreements are communicated and adhered to internally
  • Support the internal and external profile raising initiatives across the Projects & Energy Transition Practice including our approach to publications/briefings, thought leadership, alignment with industry bodies, prioritisation and organisation of industry conferences, working closely with the PR, social media and events teams
  • Support across the entire pitch process, including maintaining databases, tracking progress and outcomes
  • Support the delivery of directory/awards/league table submissions, ensuring key messaging is included and all deadlines are met
  • Regularly review BD&M systems and processes and work with managers to support implementing improvements to drive efficiencies
  • Work closely with partners and associates to deliver pitch materials as required, often to very tight deadlines


To succeed in this Senior Business Development Executive (Law firm) role, you must have great attention to detail, able to grasp conceptual ideas, and well versed in current events.


Key Requirements


  • High level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy
  • Experience with CRM software, such as InterAction, is a plus
  • A team player - flexible in their approach to work and readiness to go the extra mile
  • Prior experience in the professional services sector
  • Tertiary qualification in business or relevant degree
  • Enthusiastic and proactive, with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Commercial awareness and ability to bring the client's perspective into the frame
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to switch between detail and the bigger picture
  • Two years' front line business development experience in professional service industry preferably with experience in pitches, proposal documents and capability statements
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in supporting Projects/Project Finance practice or knowledge of the industry would be ideal
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Positive attitude toward work and a desire to learn and develop
  • Ability to prioritise a busy workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively engage with internal stakeholders
  • Proficiency in a non-English language (Mandarin, South Korean, Japanese, Bahasa will be preferred) to effectively support inter-office communication as well as connecting with external clients
  • Excellent project management and delivery skills
