Sales Manager, Minerals Indonesia and South East Asia

The Asia Pacific Minerals Front End Sales team at Metso take responsibility for profitable growth of the Minerals (CapEx) segment. This role is responsible for leading and managing all sales activities and executing the business plan for Metso's capital business within Indonesia and South East Asia. This is a key strategic growth role within the business and you will be the face of Metso in Indonesia and South East Asia, interacting with both C-suite and site-based customer levels. Working with the broader Metso Organization, the successful candidate will be driven to ensure we win deals in a competitive market by providing value and excellent service to customers. Together we will provide the best value solution to our clients.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Follow-up on previously won cases to maintain good working relationships
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitor activities including technology advances and site-specific activities / presence.
• Develop, maintain and execute strategic direction for the region
• Manage customer base in Asia Pacific and maintain key customer relationships at CapEx investment project/senior plant operations management level for the respective technology/business line
• Profitable growth of the business and maximisation of the market share in Indonesia and South East Asia.
• Assemble bid teams, generate and maintain sales plans/strategies
• CapEx and Services business lead generation
• Sales funnel management and prioritization of sales cases

TO SUCCEED

• Degree qualification preferred, ideally in Chemical Engineering or Metallurgy.
• Ability to travel regularly across Asia Pacific region, as required.
• Ability to work effectively with others in an international, multi-cultural matrix organisation and ability to interact across C-suite and site-based customer levels.
• Strong technical understanding of Minerals Processing technologies that Metso offer namely Crushing, Screening, Grinding, Classification, Flotation, Automation, Thickening, Filtration and Hydrometallurgical solutions.
• Experience (circa 6+ years) working in the mining industry, in a technical capacity.
• Customer-focused mindset and the ability to develop and execute sales strategies to win deals.
