Company Description
ArtBound Initiative is a global internship program for students and fresh graduates in the creative industries. Our service is to guarantee an internship offer in the city and industry of the students’ choice; provide a pre-placement curriculum that ensures students receive the most out of their internship; and to provide travel, logistic, and placement support throughout their journey.
We are profitable, self-funded, stable and growing consistently each year. We hire carefully and thoroughly, to continue building a stellar team of individuals that wish to contribute to ArtBound Initiative’s success. We are currently a team of 15 Individuals, mostly located in Jakarta, handling 250 clients per year. We all are very close, have fun with our work, but also are effective and serious about our output.
Job Details
- Contract type: Independent Contractor - 12 months with option for renewal. (ArtBound Initiative is a New York-based company and can’t offer an official full-time employment in Indonesia)
- Full time
- Compensation: Competitive mid-level management salary, benefits allowance, and twice annual performance bonus.
- Hybrid (2 to 3 times per week in the office)

We are seeking a Global Program Manager to manage a team of 5-10 program coordinators, oversee and ensure smooth operation of our program & client success, and create systems and SOPs that will allow the business to further expand 2-4x it’s current size. This role will report directly to the CEO. This role has the potential to become a highly significant leadership position within ArtBound Initiative.

Practical Requirements
- Ensure team is maximizing output and optimizing client success
- Ability to manage team output & consistency
- As program expands, able to see areas for improvement/automations/better client experience
- Able to design the new SOPs and implement them
- Ability to improve and establish processes
- Manage expectations with young students who may expect more than we can deliver
- Ensure team output is consistent and follows established SOPs
- Enforce SOPs and procedures that optimize a positive experience for clients
- Ensure team is being coached and mentored to improve / but also managed and guided
- Ability to manage client experience
- Troubleshoot and fix problems when things don’t go well
Experience Requirements
Your background does not need to be related to the role, but your character and abilities do. We do require a minimum of 3 years experience in managing teams larger than 5 people.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure every participant is placed within a company by managing the company availability, developing new partner company relationships, and preparing participants for successful interviews.
- Oversee the team and office at times while CEO is on business travel.
- Identify and improve on weaknesses within our processes and team
- Support in program expansion to new destinations and program types.
- Oversee the process of program participants from after they are accepted into the program, until they complete their internship.
- Hire (and terminate) team members as required
- Handle escalated cases or issues with participants, their parents, companies, universities or service partners.
- Support in building a collaborative, engaging and disciplined culture.
- Implement new SOPs as required
- Manage a team of 5-10 Program Coordinators, who each handle up to 50 Participants at a time. Ensure that every participant is handled with attention and care so that every participant has an experience that exceeds their expectations.
