About the Director of Commercial (Sales and Marketing) Hospitality Role:

Reporting to the BoD, you will be based in Jakarta and lead all commercial activities of all venues in Indonesia. You will be in charge of directing the business development and process improvement in the venues.

Key Responsibilities

• Survey, review and analyse competition, market trends, customer needs and comments in order to be proactive and adapt with business intelligence
• Be fully responsible for managed accounts including contracting, updating profile and renewing contracts
• Determine the effectiveness of existing programmes and develop new strategies
• Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reporting, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required
• Up-sell, cross-sell and promote facilities and services at every available opportunity in order to maximise sales revenue
• Analyse monthly P&L and month-end reports, identify deviation from business plan goals
• Evaluate changes in guest needs, the guest mix and competitive set, to recommend appropriate product/service and operational changes as necessary
• Direct and manage all group, transient, and catering/banquet sales activities to maximise revenue for the hotel
• Participate in community and professional organisations to maintain high visibility and promote a positive image
• Manage/direct all advertising, public relations and promotional activities in conjunction with corporate marketing and public relations department

To succeed in this Director of Commercial (Sales and Marketing) Hospitality role, you will need extensive experience managing multi-venue hospitality and resilience to thrive in a high-performing culture.

Key Requirements

• Flexible and able to embrace and respond to change effectively, open minded
• Excellent organisational, time-management skills and great at teamwork
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language
• Attention to detail in quality and guest-oriented
• Minimum of 10 years of sales management experience or at least five years of experience in a similar capacity with proven records
• Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• High degree of professionalism with strong understanding of global markets and business acumen
• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable hospitality school/campus
