Customer Solutions Consultant, Infrastructure Modernization, Telco

Minimum qualifications:

• Experience as an enterprise architect in a cloud computing environment in Telecommunications or in a customer-facing role.
• 4 years of experience working in IT strategy.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in planning infrastructure modernization as a technical consultant, technical pre-sales engineer, or enterprise architect.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in networking (e.g., Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration and load balancing, Domain Name System (DNS), virtual private networks) and their application to PaaS and IaaS technologies.
• Experience with application development concepts and technologies (e.g., CI/CD, Java, Python, Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience in architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable and secure distributed systems.
• Experience with containers and associated technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Serverless, and Microservices.

As a Customer Solutions Consultant, you will work with the Sales team to introduce Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners understand Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve the business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

Responsibilities

• Recommend migration strategies, enterprise architectures, migration tools, and cloud infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
• Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, identify key customer technical objections, and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
• Manage the technical relationship with Google customers, including managing product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination of additional technical resources.
• Guide customers and peers to solve difficult problems with innovative and novel solutions, leveraging an excellent set of technical competencies.
