Army Finance Operations Higher Executive Officer

We are seeking four highly motivated individuals to join this fast paced and constantly evolving professional environment and form the core of the Army’s Finance professionals.
Each post holder will provide financial, regularity, proprietary and governance support to one of the seven Basic Level Budget (BLB) holders within Army HQ. The posts are embedded within the Army HQ Higher Level Budget (HLB) Finance Team, part of Army Finance Operations and supports the Senior Finance Business Partner.
All job roles are responsible for all aspects of In Year Management including production of monthly forecasts which will include Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting (PB&F) input, budget setting, production of the Quarterly Accounting Return, the provision of financial
management information and advice, as well as contract monitoring duties such as Contracting, Purchasing and Finance duties.
These roles do require experience in effective customer & supplier management. You must be an effective communicator who is comfortable working individually and as part of a team. You will be confident with decision making and have the ability to work within a fast pace to meet strict financial deadlines.
The successful candidates should possess drive, strong inter-personal and collaboration skills, the ability to build positive and productive relationships, be comfortable working autonomously and be willing to embrace change and a culture of continuous improvement and efficient delivery. Excellent communication and numerical skills are essential for the each of these roles and the ability to build rapport across multi-discipline teams consisting of a mix of Military and Civilian workforces.
As part of the Army HQ finance team, you will have the opportunity to complete Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) training apprenticeship, if desired to further develop your financial career.
