(Army) Lead Staff Officer Cadets, Redford Barracks, Edinburgh

Duties and responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:

• Engage with Regional and National Service Headquarters Cadet Branches, RFCAs and Associations on administration and policy, attending inter service meetings where required.
• Support and inform HQ 51 Inf Bde & HQ Scotland Comd and Cadet Chain of Command (CoC), on all Cadet related matters as/when required.
• Processing and monitoring of Cadet Force Adventure Training (CFAT) applications including Overseas Expeditions and competitions to ensure correct submission process and post/policy requirements are followed.
• Maintain regular engagement with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure Cadet activity is conducted in compliance with current policy regarding Discipline, Health and Safety, Security, Safeguarding and Assurance Regulations (ACF, Combined Cadet Force (CCF), CTT, School SLTs, Single Service HQs, RPoCs, Regional Forces Cadet Association (RFCAs) and other Associations.
• Coordinate any Cadet led event in Scotland as required by the Chain of Command.
• Act as the Bde focal point for Cadet related FOI, Parliamentary Questions, Ministerial Inquiries and Treat Official letters within the required time scales.
• Lead the planning, administration, and Secretariat for Bde HQ Cadet Conferences. 
• Line Management responsibilities for 1 x EO Cadets.
• Dissemination of MOD, Army and HQ Regional Command policy on Cadet matters within the AoR, providing direction and guidance on all policy related matters when required, including to Head Teachers and ACF Commandants.
• Management of the Safeguarding Steering Group and Incident reporting.

A Disclosure Scotland certificate to be obtained within three months of taking up the post.
