The Opportunity
We are currently seeking Sr. Business Development Manager to expand our business across Southeast Asia. The right candidate will be target driven and contribute to the ongoing growth of EMQ through revenue generation, by managing and growing our customers, identifying prospects, and executing plans to acquire new partners/customers.
Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and generate qualified opportunities, acquire new partnerships, explore cross sell opportunities across the region; collaborate with cross functional teams to close deals.
- Drive the development and execution of client deals, opportunities, and business activities in Southeast Asia.
- Excellent communication and internal coordination to ensure adherence to EMQ compliance, regulatory and governance policies.
- Maintain a thorough awareness of market occurrences including important developments, trends, competitors' positioning and the status of existing contracts to assist in identifying potential business opportunities.
- Development and execution of Hands on management of the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, negotiating commercial terms, working closely with key stakeholders of prospects to close deals, and with internal and partner teams to delivery ‘go lives’
- Effectively communicate the needs of customers/partners to internal stakeholders for a seamless customer journey.
Requirements
- Strong awareness of compliance risks and regulatory frameworks.
- Results-oriented with great skills in communication, organization, and negotiation
- Travel will be required.
- Hands-on, self-motivated, disciplined, takes ownership of the job at hand.
- Deep knowledge and expertise in cross-border payments, with strong ability to articulate potentially complex payment flows in detail to customers/partners.
- Entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with excellent business acumen and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sense of initiative, adept in working both independently and as part of a global team.
- Fluent in English, additional language is a strong plus.
- 5-8 years of experience in business development and proven sales results with a strong network of contacts in Payments, Financial Services, FinTech or Banking Go-to-Market.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ensure effective working relationships with all relevant customers/partners and internal stakeholders.
