About the Role:
"The Sales Lead for Travel Payments & Partnerships plays a key role in leading the Sales and Commercial efforts for TerraPay as it continues to scale up, focusing on travel use cases."
This position reports directly to the APAC Head of Payments, and has the responsibility for establishing, executing and overseeing business development and developing partnerships for the travel segment for APAC. He/she will work closely with global Travel sales colleagues, collaborating on holistic global GTM approaches and solutions for the prospective clients.
The successful incumbent will own, manage, drive and expand their market. You will need to be self-motivated, confident with an excellent understanding of the cross-border payments business. You will be expected to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners. Your first six months you will spending most of your energy learning about TerraPay, our Diverse culture, product readiness, building a healthy pipeline and most importantly acquiring new clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Onboarding, Compliance, Treasury, legal and other cross-functional support teams to execute daily tasks, adhering to agreed-upon SLAs
- Identify, pursue and maintain business opportunities that will lead to sales revenue goals
- Leverage TerraPay’s Opportunity pipeline with viable established connections in the Payments industry
- Able to independently drive medium to large projects/initiatives from inception through completion
- Fully understand the companies solutions and pricing models to effectively leverage a winning proposal.
- Experience in leading all aspects of the business development lifecycle for all assigned accounts.
- Experience in pipeline building and delivering/exceeding Sales targets year on year
- Ownership to grow the Travel partnership footprint and execute strategic deals
- Accountable for the scouting of new leads through industry network or partnerships
- Create and leverage synergies across partners in overall ecosystem to maximize and sustain revenues
- Own and lead end to end Sales process from lead generation, lead qualification, Proposal submission, Contract & Negotiation and Closure
- Research and analyze the business environment, competitors and customers to create valuable propositions for the industry.
- Identify trends in data to drive optimization strategies
- Work with Travel Payments leadership to further develop efficient prioritization plans
- Payments Expert to collaborate with internal stakeholders to leverage all commercial deals
- Commercial strategic negotiations and partnership initiatives
- The primary point of contact for all owned partners/clients and internal teams on all aspects and on the wider programmatic industry including competitive landscape and positioning
- High degree of customer relationship Management, Accountable for meeting/exceeding client needs, issue management, resolution and customer concerns
- Strategize, secure and manage relationships with global customers that will leverage new business
- Acquire new clients globally, focusing on APAC and generate revenue goals for the Travel Payments Team
- Own and deliver quarterly/annual targets
Requirements:
- A proven Track record of working in a Leadership Payments Sales role, preferably Travel Payments with a strong understanding of the commercial card industry.
- Excellent Microsoft Presentation and the ability to build new infographics to present business/performance reviews.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet partner, customers and internal operational needs.
- Keep up with the Travel Payment trends.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of Sales and Business development experience, preferably in a payments industry.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to translate customer needs into a viable & revenue earning product.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Travel Industry knowledge
- Strong communication Skills
- Travel requirement (Flexible)
- Fully understand the company's solutions and pricing models to effectively leverage a winning proposal
