Ensures requirements for internal technology projects align to operational standards. Develops alternate requirements or document exceptions as appropriate

Experience implementing banking/payment systems is mandatory and preferably large enterprise banking systems

Plans and coordinates all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery

Ensure local regulatory requirements are met pertaining to operational risk management, prudential standards and governance and operational standards within nexus area.

Highlight any data quality issues in the operational risk management system / reporting to Group Operational Risk

The Operational Risk Manager is responsible for supporting and delivering the following minimum outcomes:

The Operational Risk Officer has delegated authority to:

Accept the classification and accurate reporting of operational risk losses and events and to accept the appropriateness of mitigation actions.

Bachelors in computer science, software engineering, information technology, business, finance, economics or related fields.

Define and own the vision, strategy, goals and roadmap

 Develop and implement risk assessment and management processes for payment transactions on our technology system.

 Generate reports and present findings to management, highlighting risks, trends, and recommended actions.

 Proven experience as a Risk Analyst, preferably in the payments industry or a related field.

 Strong understanding of payment processing, including knowledge of transaction types, payment networks, and associated risks.

 Monitor payment transactions, identify potential fraud, and perform comprehensive analysis to detect suspicious activities or patterns.

 Conduct regular reviews of existing risk control measures and recommend improvements or adjustments as necessary.

Advanced in Microsoft Excel skills, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint is a must with excellent communication and project management skill.

Produce risk heatmap and risk control self-assessment in a regular basis for management review.

Having experience in lending business of financial institutions with a minimum of 2 years, related to operational and compliance risk.

Have sound knowledge of credit risk principles and credit loss concepts and best practices applied to lending business.

Maintain and update risk register or risk events database to ensure identified risks are monitored and action items are on track.

Ensure all SOP in operation and business support are in place and creating internal audit or control framework.

Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Risk Management, or equivalent disciplines.

Experience in establishing and/or overseeing operational risk management policies and guidelines in a banking environment is preferred.

5+ years’ experience in operational risk or in banking industry, preferably from retail banking environment

High degree of customer relationship Management, Accountable for meeting/exceeding client needs, issue management, resolution and customer concerns

Experience in pipeline building and delivering/exceeding Sales targets year on year

Experience in leading all aspects of the business development lifecycle for all assigned accounts.

Own and lead end to end Sales process from lead generation, lead qualification, Proposal submission, Contract & Negotiation and Closure

Strategize, secure and manage relationships with global customers that will leverage new business

Minimum of 5-10 years of Sales and Business development experience, preferably in a payments industry.

Fulfill regulatory reporting and audit requirements or inquiries

Growth mindset, analytical, assertive and good interpersonal skill

Certification in Audit such as CIA or CISA is an advantage

Strategise, drive and facilitate the implementation of operational risk assessments, new product risk assessments, BCP creation, and incident reporting

Develop and perform annual review of operational risk related policy and procedures

Perform adhoc / thematic risk assessments where and when relevant
