Head Of Business Development (Retail Experienced)

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provides and ensure full and accurate information in the submission of business case to the Board for approval.
• Liaises with the Legal department to work out the legal aspects of the agreement seeking clarifications on legal, financial, and other commercial terms.
• Conducts ‘post-opening’ analysis (with cross-functional teams) to track & identify learnings from actual new store opening results vs projections.
• Provide and develop correctional plans to stakeholders for any exceptions in leasing agreement and deals.
• Carries out site visits and ensures that the team conducts visits on a regular basis, for the purpose of scouting for property acquisition opportunities for new store development / retail expansion.
• Establishes business relationships and network with the local/regional Real Estate, Property Development, Leasing firms to explore upcoming / available retail sites (new Shopping Malls, Store Sites, etc.)
• Ensures that information related to leasing is maintained and archived for the purpose of extracting the relevant data and presenting it to the Senior Management, whenever required.
• Lead & execute Market Mapping to identify opportunities for growth (including competitor location).
• Keeps abreast knowledge about leasing rates, leasing laws, changes in any rules and regulations, and communicates it with company in a timely manner.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Able to communicate well internally and externally.
• Understands the business P&L, able to analyze.
• Willing to travel across Indonesia.
• Good presentation and negotiation skills.
• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
• Excellent negotiation and sales skills.
• Have great relationship with landlords, especially for big groups.
• Self-starter, problem solving, and attention to details.
• Strong in Interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Legal understanding.
• Excellence in both verbal and written, for both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience with at least 5 years in similar role (retail company such as footware/fashion/active lifestyle).
