About Our Client
The client is a reputable leader in providing cutting-edge fire safety and other security solutions for a diverse range of industries. With a steadfast commitment to innovation, reliability, and safety, they have established themselves as a trusted partner in safeguarding lives and assets. As they expand their presence in the government sector, they are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to lead their efforts in promoting and growing their product portfolio, predominantly in fire safety.

The key responsibilities are (but are not limited to):
  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, trade shows, and government procurement expos to enhance visibility and networking opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, generate reports, and provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical experts and sales professionals, to develop customized proposals and solutions that address the specific fire safety requirements of government clients.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and initial engagement to contract negotiation and closing deals, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to penetrate the government sector and increase market share for the company's products.
  • Identify and prioritize target government agencies and departments at the local, state, and federal levels that have fire safety requirements aligned with product offerings
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the government sector, fostering a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies that could impact fire safety requirements within the government sector.
  • Continuously seek feedback from government clients and incorporate insights to refine product offerings and business development strategies.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the procurement procedures, regulations, and decision-making processes within the government sector.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate has 10+ years of sales/business development experience within the Government/BUMN sector. Other than the relationships and connections with the relevant business, he/she also has strong experience in both direct account management and sales channel/distributor management.
Experience in similar business such as fire safety and security will be a great advantage.
