Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the performance of individual contributors and help manage their professional development.
• Design, implement, and monitor all operations and key performance metrics/operational efficiency for the engineering team.
• Lead and conduct research and development projects that produce new designs, products, and processes.
• Recommends new technology and ideas to improve sprints and efficiency.
• Understand and collaborate on the complete product lifecycle from concept to execution.
• Know how to recruit and develop top engineering talent.
• Build, develop, and manage the engineering team capable of carrying out initiatives.
• Maintain and optimize budgets to meet goals.

Key Requirements:

• Experience managing a distributed team.
• Extensive engineering expertise in the areas of tooling, prints, specifications, product maintenance, budgeting, and software products.
• Expertise in Golang, CI/CD, TDD, Refactor/Rewrite system, Git Flow and microservices architecture.
• Proven success working closely with Product Management, contributing to the product strategy and helping to successfully deliver on the product roadmap.
• Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to explain approaches to all levels in the organization including key stakeholders.
• Growth mindset, challenging status quo to find new solutions and out-of-the-box ideas.
• Proven of work experience as VP of Engineering or similar role.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems.
• Able to think strategically and see the big picture.
• Experienced 8 to 10 years across a range of stages of startup (from early stages to growth stage).
