The ideal candidate will have a great feel for what’s trending in the market, the ability to place his or herself in the shoes of our target audiences, and the experience in building strong cases for how we should market our products such that our customers are able to understand and appreciate them. If you love building value for under-served segments, and want to experience working in an early-stage start-up, this role is perfect for you.
Do note that we are looking for an integrated marketer who is well-versed with all aspects of marketing and communications, and has consumer-facing marketing experience.
This role reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer.
In this role, you will:
- Balance local marketing budgets across all marketing needs and investments, against the company goals, ensuring that customer acquisition costs are sensible against the customer lifetime value
- Provide a key local perspective on how we should be catering and marketing to the needs of our key segments in Indonesia
- Lead a small team in charge of marketing our products to our users, whether it’s launching a new product or maintaining always-on campaigns to keep our users engaged
- Work closely with other teams, such as Product, Design and Business, to ensure that the products and value we deliver to customers are consistently talked about in the same way, and rigorously tested
- Manage your team, providing coaching and development to team members to accomplish goals and ensure their personal professional growth
- Monitor, track, report on, and optimise marketing campaigns on a regular basis, based on understanding how these efforts build up towards business objectives
- Develop and execute annual, quarterly and weekly marketing plans based on the budgets and objectives laid out by the business leads, across the entire spectrum of marketing channels including but not limited to brand awareness campaigns, Customer Lifecycle and Relationship Management, digital marketing and in-app marketing
You should have/be:
- Experience in and enjoy developing people and teams.
- Deep understanding of the Indonesian consumer and are able to think through various target segments’ points of view.
- Strong content strategy and development skills: able to piece together disparate or siloed marketing campaigns or material into one overarching coherent story.
- Able to make quick decisions in an ever-changing environment and anticipate future needs.
- Experience running integrated consumer-facingmarketing campaigns both offline and online in Indonesia.
- Able to navigate and pull insights from data, especially when it comes to app and web metrics, and evaluation of marketing channel effectiveness.
- A bachelor's degree in marketing or a marketing-related discipline from an accredited educational institution or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication and presentation skills; able to articulate a vision, strategy or idea clearly and concisely.
- Have a strong pulse on what is relevant and trending on the ground in Indonesia, especially for the tech and mobility spaces.
- Proven ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, and you're not afraid to dive into details and execute.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia (English is a requirement as Edde is a company that has global ambitions and is headquartered in Singapore).
- 6+ years of integrated consumer-facing marketing experience, out of which, 1-2 years in leading teams.
Highly desirable, but not mandatory:
- Data analysis experience, with the ability to run deeper statistical analyses
- Experience with business management
- Experience working in startup-like environments. Marketplace, ecommerce industry experience is a plus
- Proficiency in translating English into Bahasa Indonesia
- Prior experience with CRM and digital marketing as channels
