Overview

The Business Development Director is a senior-level role responsible for leading and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth within the digital media sector, andmanaging a team to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities. The Director will work closely with cross-functional teams, clients, and partners to establish and maintain strong business relationships, negotiate deals, and drive the expansion of the business


Responsibilities:

- Revenue Growth, Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and execute the digital media business development strategy in alignment with the company's revenue growth objectives, in particular social commerce/live shopping.
  • Identify new market opportunities, trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Set clear revenue targets, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to measure the success of business development initiatives.


- Partnership and Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential clients, partners, agencies, and other stakeholders.


- Product and Service Expansion:

  • Work with internal teams to develop and launch new products, features, or services that address market needs and generate revenue.
  • Collaborate with product and service teams to identify opportunities for expanding the company's digital media offerings.


- Financial Management:

  • Track revenue performance, analyze financial data, and provide regular reports to the executive team.
  • Develop and manage the business development budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize ROI.


- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Provide insights and market feedback to guide product development and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.


- Team Leadership:

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the company.
  • Lead and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Leadership experience, including managing teams and driving results.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital and social media platforms, advertising models, social commerce, live streaming, and monetization strategies.
  • Proven track record of successful business development and revenue growth within the digital media industry.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
