Technical Sales Support Manager

As a Technical Sales Support Manager, you will be responsible for adapting and implementing sales support strategy for designated area in accordance with the global support strategy. Ensuring technical and commercial support for internal and external customers.
Reporting to Local Business Unit Manager, overseeing estimations, bids and proposals ensuring alignment with ABB standards and targets. Leading, developing and coaching the sales support team.
This position is based in Tangerang, Indonesia.
Your responsibilities

• Creating, implementing and reviewing local sales support strategy
• Overseeing the validation of terms and conditions (commercial, technical, legal, pricing) in each offer
• Supporting bid/no bid analyses and decisions. Participating in project risk review processes
• Assigning and allocating internal and external resources for technical and commercial support
• Defining key targets and ensuring these are achieved for the customer support. Proposal development oversees the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources. Ensuring all proposals follow relevant ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
• Ensuring support to the sales organizations during the technical meetings, product presentations and negotiations with customers and provides technical support and clarification as needed
• Ensuring most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identifying which approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer

Your background

• Great communication skills, a people person who’s able to convey strategy and plans in a clear and concise manner to get the team aligned with the overall vision, mission and goals
• Dynamic leader who has experience in setting up, growing and leading a business unit
• Experience with change management and driving business growth through operational excellence
• Bachelors/master’s in engineering – 8-10 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing, Tendering
• Innovative and not afraid to try new ways or concepts of doing things
