Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Merchant Acquisition and Partnership Manager to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in expanding our merchant user base, fostering strong business relationships with partners that correlate to business strategy and company’s growth. The role requires a mix of market research, sales, business development, and customer relationship skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Merchant Acquisition: Identify, engage, and onboard new merchants who align with our company objective and product offerings. This includes leading negotiations and closing deals.
  • Sales and Performance Targets: Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly merchant acquisition and revenue targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive merchant acquisition and partnership strategy.
  • Partnership Development: Build and maintain relationships with new and existing merchants, identify partnership opportunities and foster long-term engagement.
  • Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective acquisition and partnership strategies based on market insights and company objectives.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand the competitive landscape, identify potential business opportunities, and stay informed of industry trends and changes.


Requirements:

  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of merchant acquisition and developing successful partnerships.
  • Shows consistent traits of having a positive attitude, leading by example, and a solid commitment to delivering a high bar quality of work
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • At least five years of experience in driving a commercial (sales) and partnership team within a financial technology and/or multi-finance organization
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Shows consistent traits of having a balanced analytical problem-solving approach yet agile and pragmatic in execution
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent understanding of the market and ability to use data in strategic planning.
