Forwarding Merchant/ Clerk for Container Shipping

This role allows you to demonstrate your forwarding merchant skills within a growing business.

We are looking for an honest, reliable and friendly individual to join our team, based at our office in Karawang. We offer you a pleasant working atmosphere in a competent and international environment.

Experience of forwarding agent within the shipping business is essential and your role will include but is not limited to handle the whole export matters for our PET flakes all over the world.

•Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment

•PC Literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, Excel

•Excellent English skills, spoken and written, other languages advantageous

•Intercultural competence

•A degree or equivalent in a business discipline

•Independent working method

•High level of commitment, reliability and team spirit

•Problem solving ability

•Strong communication skills

•Minimum 3 years of experiences in the Export market, as forwarding merchant or similar training

Your Key Tasks

•Organization of transports for local and abroad as well as preparation of all the associated documents, from making the invoice till Bill of lading.

•Planning, organising and controlling- from now on you make sure that everything gets safely from A to B

•Recording and processing of orders for international transports, on optimal routes with delivery always in time

•Responsibility for the timely processing of orders

•Ensuring customs clearance for import and export transactions in compliance with national and international regulations

•Selection and evaluation of freight forwarders and especially negotiations for the best prices

•Continuously monitor national and international export control regulations

•General administrative tasks
