Job Description
Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that specializes in pairing remote work with top-tier talent. Our client is a leading media platform focused on delivering Instagram News, Funny Videos, Snapchat Shows, TikToks, YouTube Videos, and YouTube Shorts. We boast an impressive reach, with an audience of over 10 million followers and weekly interactions exceeding 500 million people.


As a Content Curator, your primary responsibility will be to source and collate content that resonates with the ethos of our client’s Instagram page, particularly in the Reels format.


Responsibilities


  • Actively browse platforms like Reddit (from a provided list of subreddits and beyond), Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc., in search of content that meets the above specifications
  • Curate 15 daily videos that encapsulate shocking, amusing, viral, pop culture, trending, and unique themes. Write engaging captions for each of these news stories
  • Present content for approval before sending it to our editorial team for the final production phase
  • Identify 30 daily funny videos matching the brand tone of the client’s Instagram page. The sourced content should be free from licensing restrictions and must credit the original content creator


Requirements


  • Proficient understanding of what makes content viral and a thorough grasp of Instagram meme-style news/meme pages
  • Eagerness to suggest and experiment with fresh and innovative content ideas
  • Approachable demeanor with a readiness to inquire and learn, especially concerning copyright and licensing
  • Skilled in cross-checking content for licensing ownership, ensuring it's free from intellectual property restrictions
  • A knack for crafting catchy and entertaining captions
