Strategy Consulting Director Of Energy And Resources

Our client is a leading global management consulting firm with offices in more than 40 countries. They are seeking a highly skilled, dynamic and experienced Principal of Energy and Resources who will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership to the firm's clients in this practice. As a Principal, you will be working with large/mid-sized public-sector, multinational corporations (MNCs), and private-sector players to make the shift from the old to the new profitable, invest in the right tech to make it happen, stay competitive amid a swarm of new entrants, and all while delivering on sustainability.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role are, sell and deliver projects in SEA NOCs (upstream and downstream), deepen existing and develop new contacts SEA NOCs and IOCs/ local companies in SEA and help to develop the Practice.

·Working with large/mid-sized public-sector, multinational corporations (MNCs), and private-sector players

·Lead and mentor diverse colleagues, handle client leads, and identify new business opportunities

·Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the firm's clients in Energy and Resources

·Collaborate with different teams across various topics such as Upstream and Downstream Oil and Gas, Oilfield Services, Power Generation and Retail, Power distribution and Renewables

·Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry bodies and regulators

Qualifications

Successful candidates must have the following qualifications and experience:

• Energy and Resources specialist; primary experience should be in downstream oil and gas and chemicals; upstream, utilities, metals, and mining experience is desirable.

• Have worked as a Principal in a high-value consultancy, either now or recently;

• Have a history of working with, and connections in the public and private sectors;

• Have a proven track record of sales of USD 1-2 million;

• Upstream and downstream expertise (including chemicals), as well as functional competencies, such as: Strategy and Operating Model, M&A and Diverstitures, Cost Transformation and CapEx Optimization, Digital supply chain;

• Extensive experience as an engagement manager or senior staff member on big, complicated, multimillion-dollar consulting projects. In-depth knowledge of and expertise with a variety of project management and quality assurance approaches, as well as solid business judgment.
