Smelter Operation Readiness - Superintendent Health & Safety System & Compliance

Assisting Health & Safety (HS) Manager to manage health & safety training & induction management and health & safety management systems development and audits, i.e.: ISO 45001, SMKP, SMK3, Risk Management and other requirements. This position also responsible to manage all health & safety compliances and reporting system for internal and external needs according to Freeport-McMoRan (FCX)/PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) Policy & Standards and compliance to Statutory Government Regulation in Manyar Smelter & Manyar Maju Refinery Plant.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position:

• Developing, implementing, and evaluating HS Management Systems according to FXC/PTFI Standard, International Standard and government regulation, i.e.: ISO 45001, SMKP, SMK3, etc.
• Determining, implementing and evaluating Contractor Safety Management System (CSMS) to all contractor based on FCX/PTFI policy and statutory regulation.
• Developing, socializing, implementing & evaluating HS Policy, Objective Target & Program (OTP), Standard Operation Procedure, Technical Standard, and others related documentations in accordance with FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory regulation.
• Managing all Compliance Reporting to stakeholders (Internal Purpose/management, Corporate and Government), validate and ensure its accuracy and timely reporting.
• Assisting company to perform Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment and implement Fatal Risk Management (FRM) to all PTFI Personnel & Contractors according to FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory regulation.
• Performing Statistical Data Analysis to all HS data related and provide information to management and related stakeholders.
• Determining and implementing Safety Accountability Program according to FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory regulation.
• Identifying and managing all related HS Compliance and Permit according to FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory government regulation/others legal requirements
• Developing, implementing & evaluating HS Program and Campaign to build the Maturity of HS Culture in Company.
• Establishing and evaluating HS Leading & Lagging Indicator according to FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory regulation.
• Planning and implementing HS Training need and competency program based on Company Risk according to FCX/PTFI LOD and statutory regulation.
• Developing and lead audit program to evaluate implementation of HS Management system according to FCX/PTFI Policy and statutory regulation.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in a Health & Safety or other related discilpine
• 10+ years experience for Bachelor degree or 7+ year of experience for Master degree in Health & Safety or related experience in mining, mineral/metal processing.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):

• Pyrometallurgy (copper, other base metals)
• Sulfuric Acid Plant
• Have a valid Middle Operational Supervisor (POM) - BNSP certification.
• Have a good public speaking capability.
• Have a strong analytical skill in data processing, problem solving tools and continues improvement program (QCC, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Advanced data analytics (Python, Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc.)
• Experienced in risk-based analysis (HAZOP, FMEA, RCAP, Bowtie Analysis, etc.)
• Solid/Liquid Separation
• Effluent Treatment
• Have a valid ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Certified
• Have a strong understanding regarding health & safety regulation and standard based on Indonesian Statutory Regulation and International standards.
• Additional desirable technical skills:
• Mining (Washing Plant)
• Working knowledge of MS Office suites, SAP, EMS, and other business systems.
• Have a Train of Trainer Level 3 or 4 - BNSP or DISNAKER certification
• Good english speaking skills orally and writtenly at an advanced level.
• Have a valid Occupational Health & Safety Expert (AK3U) - BNSP or DISNAKER certification
• Hydrometallurgy (electrolytic refining or similar)
• Hydrometallurgy (Chemical processing, Solvent Extraction, leaching, pressure leaching, autoclave, redox reactions, precipitation)
• Bulk materials handling (belt conveying, pneumatic conveying, milling)
• Gas Cleaning Circuit (Electrostatic Precipitators, scrubbers, etc.)
• Have a strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Graphic Designer skills (Corel Draw, Canva, etc.)
• Have a Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) Auditor - MINERBA Registered is desirable
• SAG mill, Ball mill, Flotation
• Have an Occupational Health & Safety Management System (SMK3) Lead Auditor - BNSP or DISNAKER Certification
• Have a Competency Assessor Certified - BNSP certification
• Have an Industrial Hygienist - BNSP or DISNAKER certification is desirable
• Willingness to work in team environment with culturally diversified workforces.
• Have experience in developing and managing Health & Safety system, compliance & training of the following field are desirable:
