Smelter Operation Readiness - Superintendent Emergency Service

Assisting Health & Safety (HS) Manager to develop, implement and evaluate Emergency Response management Plan in Manyar Smelter (MS) & Manyar Maju Refinery (MMR) Plants and coordinate to related stakeholders regarding to Emergency managements based on PTFI/FCX HS Policy & Standards and Statutory Government Regulation.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position:

• Performing 24-7-365 days of Emergency Service standby to response Emergency Incidents at MS-MMR area.
• Determining, conducting, and evaluating Emergency Exercise/Drill Program based on Potentially Fatal Incidents to improve effectiveness of Emergency Service Management Plan.
• Coordinating to all internal and external stakeholders regarding to implementation of Emergency Response plan in MS-MMR.
• Developing and training for emergency response volunteer Personnel in each work area and contractors.
• Conducting Internal high risk activity training and competency assessment to all worker and contractors.
• Developing, implementing, and evaluating Emergency Service Management that consist of Identification of emergency events, Prevention, Preparedness, Response & Recovery Plan to mitigate all emergency crisis event that derived by the complexity of operation in MS-MMR Plants according to PTFI/FCX HS Policy & Standards and Statutory Regulation to all Company operation and Contractor.
• Developing and implementing Emergency Service Personnel Competency Program according to PTFI/FCX HS Policy & Standards, International Standards and Statutory Government Regulation
• Ensuring Emergency Tools Equipment & Accessories and all related facilities Maintenance and Inspection Program has been conducted properly to ensure its preparedness to response Emergency Incidents.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

Minimum Education & Experience:

• 10+ years experience for bachelors degree or 7+ year of experience for masters degree in health & Safety or related experience in mining, mineral/metal processing especially in emergency service position.
• Bachelor's or Masters degree in a Health & Safety or other related discipline

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

• Bulk materials handling (belt conveying, pneumatic conveying, milling)
• Pyrometallurgy (copper, other base metals)
• Have a Competency Assessor - BNSP certification
• Experienced in risk-based analysis (HAZOP, FMEA, RCAP, Bowtie Analysis, etc.)
• Hydrometallurgy (electrolytic refining or similar)
• Sulfuric Acid Plant
• Hydrometallurgy (Chemical processing, Solvent Extraction, leaching, pressure leaching, autoclave, redox reactions, precipitation)
• Have a good networking and participation with Emergency Response stakeholders in Indonesia or International, i.e.: Government, BASARNAS, DAMKAR, Vendors, Emergency Response community, Indonesian or international Fire & Rescue Association, etc.
• Have a strong understanding regarding health & safety and emergency service regulation and standard based on Indonesian Statutory Regulation and International standards (NFPA, ISO, SNI, OSHA, etc.)
• Have a Class A or B Fire Expert - BNSP or DISNAKER certification
• Good English-speaking skills orally and written at an advanced level.
• Solid/Liquid Separation
• Working knowledge of MS Office suites, SAP, EMS, and other business systems.
• Graphic Designer skills (Corel Draw, Canva, etc.)
• Have a strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Gas Cleaning Circuit (Electrostatic Precipitators, scrubbers, etc.)
• Have a Confined Space Expert BNSP certification
• Willingness to work in team environment with culturally diversified workforces.
• Have a valid ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Certified is desirable
• Have a Mining Safety Management System (SMKP) Auditor - MINERBA Registered is desirable
• Have a good public speaking capability.
• Have a First Aider level 3 (advance life Support) certification
• Additional desirable technical skills:
• Effluent Treatment
• Have a valid Middle Operational Supervisor (POM) - BNSP certification.
• BASARNAS Training or other international equivalent search & rescue certification
• Have a valid Occupational Health & Safety Expert (AK3U) - BNSP or DISNAKER certification
• Have a Working at Height Expert BNSP certification
• SAG mill, Ball mill, Flotation
• Have a Train of Trainer Level 3 or 4 - BNSP or DISNAKER certification
• Mining (Washing Plant)
• Have experience in developing and managing Emergency Service of the following field are desirable:
