Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for partnering with the territory head and ensure smooth operations of HR function in Malaysia and Indonesia territory. Responsible for delivering the people agenda align to the business goals , compliant to local labour laws of each country and group policies and best practices.



Strategic HR Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the HR function within the assigned territory. Align HR initiatives with the overall business strategy and values of Landmark Group.
  • Proactively plan and execute the HR initiatives to deliver the business goals.

Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning:

  • Ensure hiring cost are inline with the budget and evalaute enhance process, partners on ongoing basis.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy for Retail stores, Office staff (Mid/Senior Mgt) & Warehouse teams in the designated territory. Identify recruitment needs, forecast hiring trends, and proactively plan for future staffing requirements.
  • Work with third party suppliers for casual, part time workforce and seasonal placement in the business
  • Partner with Territory Head and other key stakeholders to understand business needs, workforce planning, and talent requirements. Foster strong relationships with hiring managers to facilitate a seamless recruitment process.
  • Ensure nationalization plans are implemented and local regulations met. (Nationalization target if applicable).

Employee Engagement and Satisfaction:

  • Plan and execute initiatives regular activities based on employee feedback to ensure high level of engagement.
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Conduct surveys to measure employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize events, recognition programs, and activities that promote a positive work culture.

Employee Relations:

  • Establish and maintain positive employee relations within the territory. Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a fair and consistent manner, in compliance with company policies and applicable local laws. Handle and close ER issues timely.

Performance / Talent Management:

  • Provide support and guidance to managers in evaluating and improving employee performance.
  • Implement performance management processes, including goal setting, performance appraisals.
  • Timely conduct and conclude Talent Management process. Ensure HiPo talent has Individual Dev plans in place that are actioned. Regularly review and provide feedback to engage, retain, develop and promote talent.

Learning & Development and Succession Planning:

  • Regularly conduct training need analysis. Ensure retail trainings are executed as per plan.
  • Identify high-potential employees and develop tailored leadership development programs. Create and execute succession plans to ensure a pipeline of future leaders.
  • Focus on execution of product, behavior and customer service trainings to deliver business results.
  • Drive learning and development initiatives that enhance employees' skills and capabilities. Collaborate with corporate/concepts training teams to design and deliver effective training programs.

HR Policy and Compliance:

  • Align to group all HR practices & policies to ensure consistency (incorporate exceptions where required as per law).
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and implement necessary changes in HR practices.

HR Metrics and Reporting:

  • Publish HR dashboard on monthly basis.
  • Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.

Budgeting and Resource Allocation:

  • Regularly review people cost and key retail metrics. Ensure cost are maintained as per plan.
  • Manage the HR budget for the region and allocate resources effectively to support HR initiatives.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other functions such as Finance, Warehouse, Marketing, and corporate teams to ensure HR strategies and initiatives are aligned with broader business objectives.

HR Administration:

  • Oversee all HR administrative tasks, such as payroll coordination, attendance management, and maintaining employee records. Work closely with the HR team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in HR processes.
