Head Of Procurement (F&B Industry)

Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, Indonesia’s leading independent brewery, developing and distributing a distinctive range of beer brands for the national and international markets.

:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Monitor market trends and changes in the industry to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as cost savings, supplier performance, and inventory management, to senior management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and quality assurance teams, to ensure the procurement process supports the organization’s overall objectives.
• Evaluate and select suppliers based on their capabilities, reliability, and quality of goods or services.
• Manage and mitigate risks associated with the procurement process, including supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and regulatory compliance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms of agreement to achieve optimal pricing and favorable payment terms.
• Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
• Oversee the implementation of procurement systems and tools to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and enhance visibility into supplier performance.

Job Requirement:

• Proficiency in data analysis, financial analysis, and forecasting to identify cost-saving opportunities, evaluate supplier performance, and make informed procurement decisions.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes, contract terms, and supplier performance evaluation.
• Significant experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the food and beverage industry and Proven experience in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management is essential with minimum of 6+ years of experience. Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is highly desirable with a minimum of 2-3 Years.
• Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, including knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and supplier landscape. Familiarity with sourcing and procurement best practices specific to the industry is crucial.
• Proficient in using procurement software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools to streamline procurement processes and enhance data visibility.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms and drive cost reductions.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team, set clear goals, and provide guidance and support to achieve objectives.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is typically required. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Supply Management, Certified Purchasing Manager) may be advantageous.
