The Global Business Process Specialist for Manufacturing (Make) is responsible for identifying and implementing improvements in manufacturing processes across multiple locations around the world for a new global Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Working closely with local plant managers and manufacturing teams to ensure that production processes are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with corporate goals.


The goal is to improve manufacturing processes to achieve maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction within a global environment. The role requires a solid understanding of Meiyume’s operations, policies, and procedures alongside a thorough grasp of manufacturing and planning principles, relevant regulations, and best practices. The goal of the role is to define one consistent business process across our manufacturing functions globally through one operating model known as the “Meiyume Way”. Working closely with super users and cross-functional teams to identify the reporting requirements, process improvements, optimize workflow, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Results / Accountabilities


  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and accurate reporting manufacturing data defining what reports are needed daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships across key business stakeholders and peers to shape requirements. Making clear the options available.
  • Provide thought leadership questioning the status quo on recommending changes to group design. Ability to escalate/influence as required.
  • Work closely with super users, plant managers and manufacturing teams to understand local needs and tailor solutions accordingly for a global environment.
  • Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure continuous improvement of the manufacturing functions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular reports to management.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity with global design thinking.
  • Develop a roadmap for globalization of manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer between teams in rolling out the “Meiyume Way” operating model, including process training with the business whilst working with IT and third parties.
  • Conduct training and provide guidance to end-users to ensure that they understand the processes and follow them correctly.
  • Identifies opportunities to streamline processes, reduce lead times, and drive cost savings, while maintaining or improving quality.
  • Develop and implement new processes, policies, and procedures to streamline operations and improve global efficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including GDPR, PIPL, and other local laws and regulations.
  • Perform change impact assessments and define training plans to support successful and smooth transition from legacy ways of working to one “Meiyume Way” operating model.
  • Conduct process analysis and identify areas for optimization across multiple manufacturing plants globally.
  • Develop training programs and materials to ensure standardization of best practices across all locations that land the “Meiyume Way” in our facilities.
  • Collaborate with the internal business globally, IT, third parties and other teams to ensure that process changes are properly implemented and monitored.
  • Define and implement the global “Meiyume Way” operating model for manufacturing working closely with our businesses around the world.
  • Identify and implement new technology solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and develops action plans to resolve manufacturing process issues and inefficiencies linked with system design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between manufacturing processes and business goals.
  • Defines master data requirements and reporting needs globally for manufacturing.
  • Act as a gatekeeper and custodian of the template for manufacturing to consolidate and prioritize "needs" from different stakeholders with the justification that aligns with the value and best practice of the "Meiyume Way".
  • Provides training, coaching, and support to manufacturing teams to enhance performance, skills, and overall effectiveness.
  • Gather and analyze data to track progress and identify further areas for improvement.

Qualification & Experience And Competencies


Education and Experience (MUST HAVE)


  • Knowledge of PowerBI, data lake or other analytic reporting tools.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems including SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or Infor.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing process improvement or engineering role.
  • Expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience working in a global environment with cross-functional and/or multicultural teams.
  • Creative and willing to drive change.
  • Understands master data requirements and reporting needs.
  • Demonstrates a strong awareness of the uses of IT within the industry sector and specifically within competitive or associated organizations operating in the same market.
  • Proven experience developing, implementing, and managing manufacturing processes across various functions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to adopt a flexible working hour arrangement to work with team members located in different time zones.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues.
  • Proficiency in project management, problem-solving, and change management techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing operations, regulations, and best practices.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese, Putonghua/Mandarin, French, Thai, or Indonesian Bahasa speaking and writing ability is an advantage.
  • Familiar with managing external vendors and able to communicate with users across all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various plant locations globally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Interested in and able to work with people from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.


Preferred Criteria (NICE TO HAVE)


  • Previous experience implementing WMS and other system modules highly regarded.
  • Experienced in manufacturing or B2B industry is an absolute advantage.
  • Knowledge of Gartner’s run, grow and transform model.
  • Track record in Project Management tracking tools such as Monday.com, Jira or equivalent.
  • Certified PM (PMP) and/or Agile Scrum Master certifications highly regarded.
  • ISO27001 experience highly regarded.


Economic Dimensions


  • Forecast people spend across employees and consultants during the life of the project for manufacturing.
  • Categorize costs for One ERP project against Gartner’s run, grown and transform model for manufacturing.
  • Provide forecast quarterly to Project Manager on upcoming spend for the One ERP project vendors and internal costs.
  • Contribute to a 3-year financial plan for the One ERP project opex and capex costs.


Country / Cluster Specific Information


With an annual budget consisting of opex and capex this position is jointly responsible for ensuring the rollout of the One ERP project to various Meiyume's businesses globally across eight locations including United States, United Kingdom, France, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and China.


Joint responsibility for ensuring the highest possible satisfaction of business team members at Meiyume locations globally through effective design, implementation, and support. Any interruption or outage of any component of this ERP project could cause an immediate discontinuance in the ability for:


  • Manufacturing sites to manufacture products,
  • Warehouses / distribution centres to ship products and receive raw materials,
  • Offices to communicate using tools such productivity tools and critical ERP systems.


In short, Meiyume’s business could come to an immediate halt if the responsibilities of this position are not executed to an extremely high level of standard. The cost impact of such an outage would far exceed the annual budget for which the position maintains responsibility.
