Head Of Manufacturing Jobs

Job Purpose: Strategic and tactical responsibility for implementing manufacturing strategy and strategic operational goals to exceed customer expectations for product quality, cost and delivery, maximizing efficiency, optimizing production levels and driving operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Establish a strategy and best practices for staff to ensure the achievement of overall business objectives. Work with the Manufacturing team to translate site strategy into specific annual performance goals and departmental objectives, including KPIs, and to track them.
2. Manage the accurate and on-time introduction of new products
3. Support project management to cross-functional activity required for project execution
4. Ensure that Environmental, Health and Safety, manufacturing and quality standards and procedures are adhered to.
5. Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy.
6. Input and hold responsibility for manufacturing budgets. Prepare the annual Manufacturing budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals, as well as ensure compliance with legal standards.

Requirements:

1. Educated in manufacturing disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Technical Engineering and related.
2. Preferably a Fellow or Chartered Member of an industry-related Professional Body
3. Demonstrable experience in leading a manufacturing function with a proven track record in strategic manufacturing leadership, delivering effective manufacturing strategies, policies, processes and systems
4. Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
5. Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level
6. Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components and manufacturing techniques.
7. Preferably experienced in automotive manufacturing (OEM)
