Trade Manager – Coal & Petcoke Trading

As an international trading company, we are looking for a highly talented individual as:

Trade Manager – Fuels Trading

Responsibilities:

• To gather and report international market information in order to assist the top management in planning and development strategies
• To take the responsibility in the Fuel Trading Department, for procurement and sales of coal/petcoke to the designated markets
• Working with our shipping team, documentation team, and suppliers to secure logistics and vessels for deliveries
• Researching and processing customs & trade data
• To fulfill objectives of the company in relation to strategic decisions, profit maximization, market share in international trading
• To forecast for purchase volumes in order to make sound budgeting and planning for the designated trading area
• To suggest and develop the terminal projects to fulfill the decision for strategic or profit-oriented presence
• Liaising with suppliers and customers to record consumption, deliveries, and forecasts
• Finding new business opportunities and customers
• Co-ordination with other sales offices
• Following up on the contractual obligations for the company and for supplier satisfaction

Requirements:

• Good negotiation and presentation skills
• Extensive network in Coal/Petcoke trading in major industries desirable (preferably with both origination and destination)
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management, economics, international trade, foreign trade, engineering, sales, or a related field
• Proven track record of being dynamic, goal-oriented, highly flexible, and hardworking
• Min 5 years of experience in International Coal/Petcoke Trading.
• Good PC skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and ERP-based systems JD Edwards, SAP or Oracle)
• Able to handle stress with full dedication to work in a challenging, multinational, complex, and fast-paced environment
• Established track record in coal trading including P&L responsibility
• Excellent command of English is essential & any additional language will be an asset
• Strong analytical skills
• Thorough knowledge of international banking, commercial procedures, general knowledge of dry bulk shipping, Incoterms, ICC UCP 600
• Self-motivated professional, team player, excellent communication skills
• Willingness for extensive overseas travel and international mobility
• Strong customer focus (internal and external)
• Experience in other dry bulk commodities Trading Business, International Trade, Coal Industry, or Logistics field will be an asset
