Role / Responsibilities:

Product Strategy

  • Analyze user needs, track current market trends, and potential partnerships which creates a best-in-class parenting product
  • Coexistent buy-in from all relevant stakeholders for the product vision both internally and with key external partners. Stakeholder expectations management.
  • Support content strategy, forecasting, budgeting, and marketing activities.
  • Assess current competitor offerings, benchmarking & seeking opportunities for differentiation
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, use cases, specify basic level technical requirements & support required, metric impact & growth levers.
  • Report key success metrics and communicate results and next steps to cross-functional team members.
  • Own data analytics for your products to support BI team so as create better stories around users & features. Basic understanding of SQL queries & hands-on with major BI tools
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill feature gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve user experience and drive growth.


Product Development

  • Collaborate with the engineering team and designers to deliver, optimize & quick-to-market shipping of features with optimal resources.
  • Brainstorm within the product team but still able to ideate solutions alone with a logical approach, innovative mindset & strong intent toward the delivery of features
  • Knowhow of all digital platforms (web & mobile) with their nuances & latest operating systems features & developments.
  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, and product launch
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap and delivery plan in support of solving market and customer problems.
  • Define, document, and communicate objectives, requirements, and constraints for product initiatives and releases. Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability.
  • Be the product owner & use project management rules to synthesize product priorities, manage backlog, and set strategic direction for every sprint that aligns with company key goals and has customer impact
  • Draw user stories, and edge cases, specify basic-level technical requirements, metric impact & growth levers.


Product Marketing

  • Strategize appropriate go-to-market plans
  • Drive product launches including working with the CRM team, business team, and other product managers
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the AsianParent Group and its features across primary market segments


Good to have

  • Solved problems around user engagement, retention, subscriptions & revenue per user
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Usability expertise and design taste.
  • Knowledge of Ad Tech platforms and other monetization models and AI/ML technologies
  • Experience working at an organization/with a product that has scaled from small to large in spaces like UGC, commerce
  • Comfortable with distributed/remote domestic teams & cross-regional teams
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Solid interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams in different time zones
  • Experience working in content & data-driven products, knowledge of content management systems, SEO, Ad-ops, platform scaling
