About The Project Logistics Sales Manager Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and business development for our project logistics and heavy cargo services. Your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to expand our client base
• Collaborate with the operations team to continuously improve processes and implement best practices
• Drive sales and business development efforts to achieve revenue targets and expand our project logistics and heavy cargo services portfolio
• Monitor and manage project costs and budgets to maximise profitability and efficiency
• Develop and maintain a wide network of vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery
• Effectively manage and motivate a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve team goals
• Travel to client sites as necessary to conduct site visits, attend meetings, and strengthen relationships
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, including coordination of transportation, customs clearance, and documentation
• Maintain a thorough understanding of heavy cargo handling procedures, Indonesian customs regulations, and domestic and international freight requirements
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their specific needs and providing tailored logistics solutions
• Maintain accurate and organised documentation of projects, adhering to ISO implementation and quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) procedures
• Stay updated with industry trends and market conditions, keeping abreast of competitors and market changes
• Ensure availability and responsiveness to clients and vendors on a 24/7 basis for urgent business matters

To succeed in this role, you need to have minimum of 10 years of experience in project logistics and a comprehensive understanding of heavy cargo handling, Indonesian customs regulations, and domestic and international freights.

Key Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong network of vendors, subcontractors, and industry contacts
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in project logistics and heavy cargo services, with a proven track record of sales success
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain tidy and proper documentation
• Availability for 24/7 contact for urgent business matters
• Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and maintain relationships with clients and vendors
• In-depth understanding of heavy cargo handling, shipment processes, Indonesian customs regulations, and domestic and international freight operations
• Demonstrated ability to manage project costs, budgets, and profitability
• Willingness to travel frequently to client sites and attend industry events
• Comprehensive understanding and practical application of QHSE procedures and ISO standards
