Job Description

Job Title: Secretariat Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Secretariat Manager to join our Singapore Chamber of Commerce Indonesia team. This role is pivotal to the smooth running of our organization and requires a proactive individual who can multitask and handle a variety of responsibilities. These include planning and organising events, increasing memberships, securing sponsorships for events, managing and updating our website, and crafting and sending out weekly newsletters.


Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, coordinate, and execute various events that serve to engage our members and attract potential new members.
  2. Develop and implement strategies for membership growth and retention.
  3. Solicit and secure sponsorships for events, working closely with corporate partners to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.
  4. Manage and update the organization's website, ensuring the content is current, relevant, and engaging.
  5. Create, compile, and disseminate weekly newsletters to our members, providing valuable updates and promoting upcoming events.
  6. Perform secretarial duties, ensuring smooth and efficient internal operations.
  7. Serve as a liaison between the organization, members, and stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management or related field.
  2. Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a Chamber of Commerce or similar organization.
  3. Strong understanding of event planning, marketing, and business development.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Proven ability to manage and update websites, with a basic understanding of web design principles.
  6. Experience with email marketing and newsletter creation.
  7. Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
