We’re an early-stage venture capital firm investing across Southeast Asia. Since 2011, the firm has invested in over 80 companies across more than 7 countries in Asia. The firm invests in internet & mobile startups across many sectors, including e-commerce, payments, AI, marketplaces, mobile applications, and SaaS platforms. We’re going through unprecedented growth at the moment - new funds, new portfolio companies, new geographies and more folks in the team to help get us there. The Role:
As part of expansion; the company is seeking a Finance and Operations Assistant, based in Jakarta, that will be an integral support to the team and manage a broad range of responsibilities. This position would be great for somebody that wants to grow into a specialist on venture funds.
Finance
● Financial Statement Process - Work closely with our fund accountants to reconcile and review the transactions; assist with year end statutory audit process
● Cash Management - Weekly payment initiation, Facilitate the opening of bank and broker accounts as required
● Compliance with Indonesia regulatory requirements
● Interaction with a wide range of service providers including but not limited to Custodians, Brokers and Fund Administrators
Administrative
● Track list of executed documents and update tracker on a weekly basis
● Preparing of debit notes for both administrative and investment related transactions
● Maintaining fund corporate information and holdings of portfolio companies
● Other ad-hoc administrative duties (including short-term projects)
● Degree holders with accountancy / finance / banking / business specializations
● 1-2 years of relevant experience in an asset management firm
● Enjoy working in a diverse environment
● Adept in navigating online applications and collaborative tools used by the team such as Dropbox, Notion, Google docs etc.
● Detail-oriented, organized, meticulous and number savvy
● Great communication skills, both verbal and written (English and Bahasa Indonesia)
● Excellent organization skills
● Tech savvy with strong software skills (preferably proficient in G Suite)
● Familiarity with accounting software (i.e., Xero) preferred
