:

  • Inventory Management: Forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and implement inventory replenishment strategies to optimize stock availability while minimizing excess inventory and stockouts. Utilize data analytics and inventory management systems to make data-driven decisions.
  • Sales and Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Monitor category performance, identify areas of underperformance, and implement corrective measures to achieve sales targets.
  • Vendor Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions to ensure competitive advantage and optimal product availability. Collaborate with vendors to develop exclusive product offerings and promotional campaigns.
  • Customer Experience: Focus on improving the customer experience within the category, ensuring product information accuracy, clear product categorization, and optimized search and navigation. Actively respond to customer feedback and reviews.
  • Category Strategy: Execute the overall category strategy, including assortment planning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities, to drive sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Actively collaborate with marketing, other dept merchandising, finance, IT, and operations teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and operational plans that drive category performance. Provide input and insights for new product launches and marketing initiatives.
  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct regular competitor analysis to understand the market landscape, identify emerging trends, and capitalize on competitive opportunities. Benchmark pricing, assortment, and promotional strategies against key competitors.
  • Product Assortment: Manage the product assortment for the assigned category, ensuring it aligns with market trends, customer preferences, and business goals. Continuously monitor and optimize the assortment based on sales performance and customer feedback.


Requirements

  • Experience: min 3-5 years of experience in FMCG non food category management, merchandising, or related roles within an e-commerce or retail environment. Prior experience in planning and managing product assortments is highly desirable.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree may be preferred but is not mandatory.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data, market research, and customer insights to make informed decisions and drive category growth.
  • E-commerce Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the e-commerce industry, including online retail trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and tools is essential.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with vendors, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing market conditions, customer preferences, and industry trends. Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving e-commerce landscape.
