Call For Climate Change Specialists

Deloitte Consulting LLP, headquartered in Arlington, VA, is currently accepting expressions of interest from Indonesian climate change specialists for the anticipated USAID Indonesia ENV New Adaptation program. This multi-year USAID-funded initiative will focus on sustainable management and financing of climate resilience in Indonesia.

*This position is contingent on project award and funding.

General Qualifications Sought Across Technical Positions:

• 5+ years of exceptional experience working in the climate adaptation and resilience, Indonesia sector systems and governance, or urban planning and management.
• Degree in international development, climate resilience, or another relevant field. Advanced degree preferred. Relevant experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree.
• Demonstrated record of successful performance in at least one of the following technical areas (experience in Indonesia preferred):

1. Disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation
2. Public or private finance mobilization for urban climate resilience
3. Climate adaptation and disaster risk data management (including GIS)
4. Urban nature-based solutions

• Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is desirable.
• Experience leading or working with USAID or other donor-funded teams is a plus.
• Experience working in and around North Sumatra, Banten, East Java, DKI Jakarta, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, West Kalimantan, and Papua is highly desired.

Location:

Candidates will be based locally in project offices throughout Indonesia, as appropriate.
