Position Summary

EBI Consulting is seeking a full-time Environmental Scientist I to conduct due diligence services.  The successful candidate will perform field assessments of limited/selected property types, interviews, and independent research of local, state, and federal resources.  Reporting may include Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and/or Cultural Resources deliverables. 

This position will be a fully remote, work from home position with approximately 50% local travel to service clients in the West, so an already established home base in this region is required.  Occasional overnight travel outside of the region may be necessary depending on the location and project scope. Candidates should have prior experience working from home and traveling to client sites, and be excited to continue under this model moving forward.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare deliverables with quality supporting documentation (site figures, appendices)
• Ability to work independently and meet project schedule deadlines
• Conduct site reconnaissance, including sampling activities

Qualifications and Capabilities

• Less than 2 years of professional experience in environmental consulting
• Pertinent background for NEPA and/or Cultural Resources preferred, but not required
• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in environmental science, engineering or related field
• Asbestos Inspector and Lead Inspector Certifications preferred, but not required
