I. Job Summary:

The role will support our public affairs and government relations practice in Indonesia by (i) monitoring policy and market development issues across a variety of sectors in Indonesia, (ii) developing materials including data trends & analysis for stakeholder engagement and advocacy in Asia Pacific, (iii) contributing to the development and execution of client deliverables, (iv) working on task-oriented assignments that may require the collation of routine and standard information, and (v) assisting in day-to-day administration of the Indonesia office.

II. The Role:

• Identify relevant issues and help clients effectively navigate risks across multiple verticals and disciplines which will include collaborating with in-house teams across the region and external contractors.

• Develop market and trend analyses based on robust research and monitoring of policy developments across sectors to support the firm’s strategic counsel across clients in Indonesia and with touchpoints in the region.

• Partner with both internal and external stakeholders to develop and analyse innovative and focused strategies that differentiate the firm. This will include adapting to meet our clients’ rapidly changing needs and priorities.

• Develop a network of contacts across sectors, particularly government, business communities, media and non-government groupings in Indonesia with the aim to be a builder and facilitator to enhance the firm’s key client relationships.

• Support the Partners’ development of a strategic business plan in Indonesia with a specific focus on growing our client footprint in the market, and the wider region.

• Support the daily operations of the firm through administrative tasks as assigned.

III. Organizational Structure:

• The Associate/Senior Associate/Manager will work with teams across the region and will report to the Advisor and Partners.

• The role will be based in Jakarta.

IV. About You:

• A self-starter who is able to navigate complex issues and environments.

• A clear strategic thinker, strong collaborator and effective communicator who is comfortable in a fast-changing, diverse and multi-cultural environment.

• Having an eye for detail and willingness to pitch in as a utility player when required is essential.

• Possessing some understanding of political, regulatory, and investment climates in Indonesia and their impact on business realities is preferred.

V. Recommended Background:

• Graduates/fresh graduates with a degree from a reputable university are preferred.

• Some work experience in public affairs, consulting or related fields in Indonesia is preferred.
