The Job

• Serves to collect market intelligence and feedback to Sales/Marketing wherever possible. Assist Product / Marketing Manager on technical aspect of work and key marketing programs.
• Provide customer training and coordinate with Regional Technical/Product Manager where help is need.
• Support external customers on technical proposal, field technical training, lab/field trial, and trouble-shooting in accordance to GCP’s recommendations
• Support country’s sales on technical proposal whenever needed.
• Working closely with the Regional Technical Service Manager, ASEAN and takes ownership of technical support for assigned territory and product lines.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Country Sales Manager/Country Commercial leader to

• Jointly work with commercial team to gather market intelligence to better understand industry trend and competitors. Working with Regional Technical/ Product Management to develop new product to grow and improve profitability of the business.
• Serve as the technical expert to GCP’s customers by troubleshooting technical issues at the customer site, demonstrating Grace product capabilities, recommending solutions and serving as the Grace representative in technical proposals to the customers. Provide first level of field troubleshooting to customers.
• Jointly work with commercial team to understand the customer requirement, and making adjustment of products to support existing business and capture new market opportunities to grow the business.
• Develop and regularly update competitors’ product database vs Grace to support commercial team
• Dispenser support and management
• Achieve a zero near miss and loss time safety record
• Promote safety working environment and commit to achieve zero accident target.
• Provide value added service to customer – seminar, technical presentation, on site troubleshooting
• Develop, implement, and manage customer complaint process to make sure all complaints are well taken care, timely response to customers, and high degree of customer satisfaction is achieved.

Qualifications & Competencies

• Ability to work independently and willing to travel on a frequent basis
• With 3-5 years hands-on field experience in concrete/cement industry
• Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn and apply knowledge
• A self-starter, excellent time and self-management, require minimum supervision
• Ability to influence and lead multi function to achieve goals
• Strong relevant industry and segment knowledge & network
• Excellent customer relationship management skill
• Diploma / University degree in Civil engineering
• Good communication and team player
