About The Surabaya Branch Head (Logistics) Role

You will be responsible for the growth of local sales for the branch and also oversee all team members and be responsible for day-to-day operational activities at the branch location.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationship with all stakeholders, mainly customers, vendors, and regulators
• Ensure smooth operational process in accordance to company procedures and service levels
• Create new business through contact with prospective customers in the assigned market
• Identify the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and making recommendations to constantly improve
• Identify market trends and competitive rate actions and communicating those trends to the management
• Be responsible for all sales and business development duties including calling on accounts to increase revenue and profit
• Review, report, and provide weekly and monthly performance
• Manage end-to-end functions in the branch organisation in order to maintain standard procedure and services
• Manage and grow local sales, deep selling current local customer base, and selling logistics solutions to customers

To succeed in this role, your goal is to increase the sales/business development and improve the customer service function of the branch.

Key Requirements

• Proactive approach to solving problems
• Team player with ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is highly preferred
• Minimum of seven years of management experience in a sales/customer service role is required, preferably in Freight Forwarding, 3PL, or Trucking Services Company
• Ability to work under time pressure
• Industry experience in sales and business development is required, with ocean and air freight sales experience being highly preferred
• Good leadership to manage and boost team performance
• Accustomed to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent customer service and execution skills
