About The Role


The Consumer Insights & Analytics team is part of our broader Customer Excellence team. As a member of the Consumer Insights & Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to drive and execute research while working in close partnership with a wide range of teams including Data Analytics, Business, and Product team. You will leverage your analytical expertise to help the company improve the business and customer experience.


To fill this role, we are looking for an experienced researcher who has the capabilities to dive deep and explore research questions aligned with the business problems or business roadmap. This person needs to be able to execute end-to-end research and deliver research and insights that translate directly into product and business impact.


Challenges: This is a high-impact role in which you are expected to have the capability to connect different data available to deliver insights and the insights might directly influence product/business decisions. Therefore, it is expected that he/she needs a strong quantitative background but also has the curiosity to uncover “the why” behind the numbers.


Impact: In the first six months, you will be able to deliver insights to different Business and Product Management teams across Tokopedia and devise recommendations/action plans to support their growth or improve experience within their product.



What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to understand business problems, and gather relevant data to analyze
  • Be a constant learner, active listener, and teacher to advance data-driven culture within our organization
  • Able to manage multiple projects at the same time, setting priorities and timelines for each
  • Data-driven and highly analytical, you can translate data and connect the dots between multiple data points to produce integrated insights to drive strategy, action, and decision-making across the business
  • You are able to align analytical priorities with business priorities and take a customer-focused mindset in working with stakeholders
  • Manage the end-to-end process for a research project (from translating business objectives into research objectives, devising methods for data collection and analysis, to producing reports based on gathered data)
What You Will Need


  • Min. Bachelor's degree from any majors (Business, Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or Psychology is preferable
  • Ability to access structured data with SQL
  • Possess both qualitative and quantitative research skills
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and having basic skills in using R, SPSS, Stata, or other data analysis software are preferred
  • 2-3 years of work experience with research is preferable, especially in Business Insights/Analytics or Market Research
  • Understand the customer experience and/or customer service landscape & trends
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities
About the team


This role is challenging but fun as we have the opportunity to work with different people and be exposed to different problems within the Tokopedia ecosystem. Despite that, we have a bunch of “extracurricular” activities that might cater to your passion outside work! (i.e., badminton, basketball, yoga, chess, occasional movie nights, etc)
