Business Intelligence Analyst | Fisheries

Our portfolio company is a rapidly growing startup who combines best fishery practices with technology, aiming to provide quality and traceable sea-caught products. They are currently seeking to find a Business Intelligence Analyst who will play pivotal role in gathering, analyzing, and transforming data into actionable insights that will drive strategic decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics: Develop models to forecast business trends, customer behavior, and market shifts. Leverage statistical techniques and machine learning to provide insights for strategic planning.
• Business Insights: Translate data findings into actionable business insights that support decision-making processes. Provide recommendations based on data-driven analyses to improve operational efficiency, identify market trends, and enhance customer experience.
• Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing data quality processes and participating in data governance initiatives. Collaborate with IT teams to maintain data pipelines and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Data Collection and Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and gather relevant data from various sources including databases, APIs, and external vendors. Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights and trends.
• Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar) to visualize complex data sets, KPIs, and performance metrics for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Expertise in statistical analysis and data modeling techniques.
• 3+ years of proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role in a similar industry.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
