• Collaborate with various departments such as ISPE and Continuous Manufacturing, as well as the Regional SHES team, to align with the Group SHES strategy and local regulations, fostering a holistic approach to safety and environmental practices.
• Lead process safety review meetings, driving accountability for SHES responsibilities across Asia Manufacturing leadership teams. Ensure rigorous incident reporting and investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, ensure emergency response readiness and business continuity planning.
• Oversee the Asia Manufacturing SHES team, ensuring alignment with global SHES standards while executing operations to high-quality standards.
• Provide strategic guidance for SHES across Asia Manufacturing, setting a clear direction for the implementation of safety, health, environment, and sustainability initiatives.
• Monitor SHES performance, including Process Safety, against relevant Global Standards and Procedures. Leverage expert panels and collaborate with senior management to ensure continuous improvement.

The Successful Applicant

• A background in the high-risk manufacturing sector, preferably chemical or pharmaceutical, with a strong grasp of chemical processes and associated risks, demonstrating credibility in the field.
• Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, internal stakeholders, and external industry associations to align SHES practices with global standards and local regulations, effectively advocating for best practices.
• Experienced in leading and facilitating hazard studies, incident investigations, and root cause analyses for significant incidents. Adept at identifying, evaluating, and implementing SHES programs and improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities by managing and mentoring SHES professionals, building relationships, overseeing budgets, and ensuring consistent implementation of SHES initiatives while meeting Asia Manufacturing's operational needs.
• Proven ability to provide clear strategic direction for Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability (SHES) initiatives across diverse manufacturing sites, fostering a culture of excellence in compliance and risk management.
