As a Project Operation Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety and environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
Reporting to Local Division Manager, you will be coordinating and overseeing team development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project execution teams. Ensure technical and commercial support for internal and external customers.
This position is based in Tangerang, Indonesia.
Your responsibilities

• Ensuring that the regional/ local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and ABB Policies
• Participating in the budgeting process, jointly with Local Division/Business Unit Manager and Controller. Participating in sales and operations planning with other members of the Local Division/Business Unit/Product Group management team and taking actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity
• Leading implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation under the guidance of the Global Project Operations Manager
• Overseeing the preparation of proposals through internal and external resources. Ensuring all proposals follow relevant ABB procedures and guidelines as well as legal requirements
• Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfilment and approves any project deviations
• Leading and overseeing the project execution teams locally/regionally, ensuring that ABB Policies are consistently followed. Developing, customizing and continuously improving standard processes and work instructions by adopting ABB and external best practices
• Ensuring that projects consistently apply contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements
• Ensuring most competitive offers considering the market situation and customer’s conditions. Identifying which approach (e.g., direct sales, consortium, or channel) can be applied to better serve the customer

Your background

• Innovative and not afraid to try new ways or concepts of doing things
• Bachelors/master’s in engineering, min 10 years’ experience in project management, site management, operation management, tendering management
• Dynamic leader who has had experience in setting up, growing and leading a business unit
• Great communication skills, a people person who’s able to convey strategy and plans in a clear and concise manner to get the team aligned with the overall vision, mission and goals
• Experience with change management and driving business growth through operational excellence
