Product Development Manager Jobs

The Product Development Manager for KIVA Beauty will be responsible for leading product ideation from concept to launch, interacting with vendors, presenting to the management, project and timeline management product and trend research, and quality assurance for the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and propose innovative and enhancing products that is competitive in the market

• Create product based on consumer needs and trends

• Keep track of the beauty and ingredients trend

• Oversee day-to-day product development operations, including organizing product

samples, sending shipments, and miscellaneous office tasks

• Create new product development from concept to launch. Lead in brainstorms and

concept ideation

• Research competitive landscape and maintain product standard

• Create and present the latest product trends and ingredients with the team quarterly

• Support on-going and new beauty product developments

• Research and propose product packaging along with researching packaging vendors

• Coordinate product and formula evaluations, ensuring that samples are distributed, and

feedback is collected in a timely manner

• Conduct surveys such as panel sampling, focus group, etc. to gain insight and feedback on

product sampling/ideation

• Oversee and be responsible for the evaluation of formula submissions with the team

• Track and record submissions of feedback

• Lead vendor development calls and follow up on submissions and documentations

• Work with compliance department regulatory and testing protocols. Coordinate file

claims with Regulatory, Brand Management and copy team

• Create product launch timeline and schedule

• Evaluate customer experience of product to improve product quality

• Coordinate vendor meetings, meeting minutes, and sample follow-up

• Provide additional support as required

REQUIREMENTS:

• Min. 3 years of experience in similar field

• Bachelor’s degree

• Beauty and Personal Care related experience

• Strong idea generator, contributing to program vision and planning while getting involved in the details of execution and management

• Very detail oriented, thorough briefing

• Strong interest in beauty industry

• Exceptional written, interpersonal and communication skills who can clearly articulate concept, business needs and program objective

• Able to lead, influence and problem solve across a wide range of cross functional partners

• Able to work independently and as a team

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel and Power Point)

• Good personality and attitude; honesty, integrity
